This year, the\u00a0conference will focus on the theme of &#8220;Scale&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTransitions in progress\u201d was originally conceived as a response to the themes of migration and mobility.\u00a0One of\u00a0the first question that arose in my mind was: how can such large themes be studied? this prompted a series of reflections on scale, mediation, and translation. how is it possible to seize the trajectories of travel delineating layered spaces of movement and dwelling, arrivals and departures, entrances and exits, connections and separations, which unevenly criss-cross a city in both visible and subterranean ways?<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.scale2015.com\/index_htm_files\/531.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"897\" height=\"321\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roberta will present the TiP project at the Annual SLSAeu (Society for Science Literature and the Arts, Europe) in Malta on June 17.
